Unfortunately, our hands are tied on this one. Believe it not, there is no GitHub API scope for "read-only" or "list" permissions to private repositories. Here are some articles I found with other people having the same problem:

Although the original request is to be able to send a color value along with the speedometer value, we should also consider setting ranges on the speedometer ahead of time so that it changes color based on the value we send it.

As Guido mentioned, we don't want people to be able to specify all kinds of weird colors because we want to force dashboard to look good. On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to specify how something is performing.
We've been thinking about how to do this, and we're leaning toward being able to choose from a pre-defined list of supported colors. For example, "default", "red", "yellow", and "green". That would allow us to choose the colors and gradients so they match the current theme.

Reopening for manually setting the ranges.

This issue is about manually setting the min and max at the widget level rather than the API level.
"Since most of my data is pulled from Thingspeak or other sites it would make it much easier if when creating the gauge you had the option there to set max and min values for the gauge. Otherwise I have to manipulate the data from Thingspeak and then probably push it to you"

Dash has a very specific API for its custom widgets. This enhancement is to connect to data that doesn't conform to the Dash API.

We agree that this will be great to add to Dash.
In the meantime, we've had great luck with putting a full-screen dashboard on an external display and then editing that same dashboard on another computer in the same room. As you're dragging and resizing things, you'll be able to see your changes immediately on the big display and quickly tweak things just how you want them.

You can already show all tweets that match a hashtag using the twitter search widget, so I'm changing this to be only for instagram. Hashtags for Instagram is a great idea, though!

Another request to to see if you have notifications on your facebook profile
This is still in the development queue as we code things with more votes. As a workaround, however, you can use a special embed URL that disables the full-screen menu. For example, if the fullscreen URL were:
https://www.thedash.com/dashboard/ePLKrnQ1sO/fullscreen
the embed URL would be:
https://www.thedash.com/dashboard/ePLKrnQ1sO/embed
