Suggestions

We’re constantly adding new stuff to Dash based on your requests. We’d love to hear your suggestions.

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  3. Fitbit widget

It would be cool to have widgets that pull data from your Fitbit. This would go really well with the existing Withings scale widget.

I'd love to see a dashboard widget that displays all of my twitter mentions so I can keep up with customer support.

  5. Dark Themed Dashboards

This would be great for dashboards that are being displayed all day on a monitor. Should put less wear and tear on the monitor.

  6. Create a widget for arbitrary HTML

Use an iFrame to display it for security purposes (iGoogle serve(d) their iFrames from a subdomain) but this would give a lot of power to be able to create our own widgets.

  7. Add scrolling to data feed widgets

My RSS feeds have way more than three stories. Without resizing the
widget, I need a way to scroll down to see other stories.

  11. Let folks know they can show data in a Google Sheet

Let folks know they can show data in a Google Sheet if they publish to the web (under File on Google) and use that link in your "Do It Yourself" widget

  12. Adjustable font sizes on Custom Table Widgets.

Font size is much too large on csv file imports. Doesn't seem to be any way to make it smaller

  14. support bar graphs when using the custom graph JSON

When building JSON to work with Status Board (which, as I understand it,
you guys try to be compatible with) you can specify type:bar and have it display a bar graph. An example of some JSON that works with Status Board is at http://gnuconsulting.com/test.json, generated by the script at
http://github.com/teancom/flareboard/. The JSON as-is doesn't work at all, complaining that the format is invalid. However, if you remove the type:bar (or pull a copy of http://gnuconsulting/test_dash.json), you can see that it displays nothing (because it's still trying to graph it as a line graph vs a bar chart).

  17. Time & date of last update

A field that shows the date/time anything was changed.
A variation could be the last date/time there was an update to linked data (eg Google Sheets).
Both would help show the data is up-to-date.
